Salisbury Police investigating false reports of fires

Police are investigating false reports of fires in Salisbury on Friday.
According to Salisbury Fire Department, residents called in to report a fire on Dennis Street in Salisbury on Thursday afternoon. A similar call came into the department on Friday afternoon at the same street a few houses down.
Officials say that when they went to the scene, residents of the homes said that they had not reported the blaze because there was no fire.
The department says that this does not happen often and that this has become a danger to the public and the fire department because when this happens, they have to respond to every call as if it's real.
They also say that this is dangerous because they could have an accident on the way or a real fire could happen some place else. Salisbury Police is reportedly investigating this incident and getting information from the 911 call center.
Officials say that it could be a child who is reporting the calls. Anyone with information is asked to call Salisbury Police at 410-548-3165.
