Deputies: Man runs into woods after allegedly stealing car in Pocomoke

Deputies say that they are searching for a suspect after he fled in a stolen vehicle on Friday morning in Snow Hill.

According to the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, around 6:45 AM on Friday, deputies tried to stop a car for a traffic violation in Snow Hill.

The man allegedly fled from deputies by driving down an access road and running into a wooded area west of Route 113. Deputies believe that the man stole a vehicle from Pocomoke.

Deputies say that Snow Hill Police and Maryland State Police assisted in the search for the man, but he has not yet been found. The suspect is described as wearing a white shirt. Deputies do not believe that he is armed and dangerous.
