Benefit event held for 4-year-old boy battling Leukemia
FREDERICA, Del. – In Frederica, the community has come together to support a four-year-old boy battling cancer.
Community members say Ryan Dotson has been diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and that the Dotson family is in need of financial support.
On Sunday, the business Amy Stamm Photography organized a special fundraising event where people paid 25 dollars for pictures.
And community members say there is a GoFundMe page to help the family with things like transportation, Ryan’s treatments and more.
“Childhood cancer is something that could happen to anybody’s family and it’s not something that you’re ever prepared for and the way that we’ve been so blessed and lucky to have the support system that we have like Amy and Audrey and the AI and all the doctors and nurses there, we have just been very blessed,” said Wendy Dotson, the mother of Ryan.
