Bikers ride through Ocean City to show their support for law enforcement

BERLIN, Md. – On Saturday, more than 300 people took to the streets to show their support for law enforcement, first responders and the military.

The ride through event called Roar at the Shore started at the Walmart in Berlin and ended at Ocean City’s Roland E. Powell Convention Center.

The ride was organized by the Hogs and Heroes Foundation and it drew officers from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office and members from different organizations.

Participants also helped raise money for the Maryland Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors.

Organizers say police officers sacrifice their lives every day and that it’s important to show support.

“We have legion riders, we have many other organizations here, Red Knights are here, Bikers Without Borders is here,” said the Hogs and Heroes Foundation National President Andrew Mutchler, “It doesn’t matter your organization it’s your belief in law enforcement that they are here.”

“They sacrifice their lives every day,” said Mutchler.

Organizers say they’re also encouraging people to use the hashtag Not Every Cop, which they say means there is good and bad in every profession.
