Police: Man injured after vessel strikes sandbar in Delaware

Police say that a man was injured after a vessel struck a sand bar on Thursday night in Delaware.
According to Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police, a vessel with three people coming back to Delaware from Assawoman Bay ran up on a sandbar on Thursday night around 11:30 p.m.
One passenger, a 21-year-old man, was flown by Delaware State Police Aviation Unit to Christiana Hospital for back injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. It's unclear if speed or alcohol is a factor. It's also unclear what kind of vessel was involved.
