Baltimore man arrested in connection with Dorchester County murder

MARYLAND – A Baltimore man is facing first degree murder charges in the shooting death of a Dorchester County man.

29-year-old James Reddick was wanted for the murder of 25-year-old Deontae Belcher and was arrested yesterday in Baltimore.

Belcher was found dead in a wooded area in Dorchester County back on May first after being reported missing by his mother on April 18.

Police say the Baltimore Police Department, Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, and the Eastern Shore Information Center all assisted in the investigation.

Reddick now faces charges that include first degree murder, robbery, and six charges relating to the illegal possession and transportation of a handgun.
