MONDAY MEMO
TO: ALL STAFF
FROM: KATHLEEN
DATE: 12 SEPTEMBER 2016
WE ARE BRINGING FIVE NEW CHANNELS TO OUR OVER-THE-AIR VIEWERS!
We are in the process of a “soft launch” of five new diginets which will provide additional viewing choices to our over-the-air viewers:
• 32.1 = Azteca
• 32.2 = Bounce
• 32.3 = Heroes and Icons (H&I)
• 32.4 = Escape
• 32.5 = Laff
These additional diginets will increase the number of stations reachable by Delmarva’s over-the-air viewers to fifteen. Our Local/Regional/National Sales Teams will sell the first three diginets locally, in addition to 47ABC, 47abc.com, Delmarva’s CW3 and Me-TV. We are in negotiations for cable and satellite carriage.
If you are an over-the-air viewer, now is the time to re-scan your TV so that you can pick up these five new signals. If you need assistance with that process, see your Supervisor. A press release will go out next week, with the official launch date set for 1 October. In the meantime, feel free to help us spread the good news!
THE BROKEN WINDOW ON THE PLAZA, which occurred about a week ago, is (hopefully) scheduled to be replaced this Friday. We will have to replace all three of the large sections of glass as they do not sell oversized safety glass. The replacement section will look similar to the windows being installed in the old Hess Building across the Plaza making it a very expensive repair. If you know anything about how this might have occurred, please report the information to your Supervisor. Unfortunately, the event was not captured on a security camera. The damage has been reported to the Salisbury Police Department and an officer was out last week to file the official report.
FREE FLU SHOTS will be available to all employees and their immediate households. The date has been set for 30 September. As soon as we confirm times with Dr. Gong, we will post a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board. I encourage you to do whatever you can to plan for a healthy winter/flu season this year.
