WELCOME ABOARD

Welcome aboard to Robert McClure, an experienced marketing, sales and customer service professional who has previous work experience with WBOC, Herl’s Bath and Tile, 102.5 and LIG Marketing. He brings a high level of proficiency with most common desktop, table and mobile software as well as some database programs, image editing programs, OSI, Wide Orbit and ComScore Stationview Essentials. Additional talents include voice acting, public speaking, writing and graphic design. His extension is 317. Please join me in welcoming him to our Team.
THE BROKEN WINDOW ON THE PLAZA, is scheduled for replacement on Tuesday. The Mayor worked with us to expedite the process with the Historic Commission and we are scheduled to have it replaced tomorrow, starting at 9AM (weather permitting).
FREE FLU SHOTS will be available to all employees and their immediate households. The date has been set for 30 September. As soon as we confirm times with Dr. Gong, we will post a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board. I encourage you to do whatever you can to plan for a healthy winter/flu season this year.
OUT IN THE COMMUNITY
• On Saturday, Emily Lampa and Lissette Nunez participated in the dunking booth at the Riverside Carnival. Money raised at the booth will benefit St. Francis de Sales
• Lili Zheng emceed the Healing Rose Garden Party Thursday night at the MAC center. The event is a celebration of the extended partnership of the Susan G. Komen Maryland and MAC, Inc., and the program, Life After Breast Cancer, through which the Healing Rose Garden was created. Lori Yates, Community Health Manager for Susan G. • Sunday afternoon, Leland Miller, Jimmy Tindall and Tamara Horn from Sales along with Lissette Nunez and Jaisol Martinez from News hosted our booth at the Festival Hispano in downtown Georgetown. The festival was coordinated by Kevin Andrade, our partner with Maxima radio and drew between 6 and 7,000 people. The event featured vendors, games for kids and concerts. At our booth, we gave away red and white Aztec cups and cards telling people where they could find Azteca on their over the air sets (channel 32.1).
