Pounds of marijuana founds during Del. traffic stop; one arrested

A man is in custody after police say nearly 11 pounds of marijuana was found during a traffic stop, in Laurel.
The Laurel Police Department says on Tuesday, an officer pulled over a vehicle in the the area of Sussex Highway and Georgetown Road. Police say the driver was identified as 50-year-old Maurice Thomas,of New Jersey. While speaking with Thomas, police say they noticed an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
According to the report, a search of the vehicle revealed the odor was coming from a large bag containing 10.9 pounds (4,944 grams of marijuana) inside the vehicle's trunk.

Thomas was arrested and issued a $80,001 cash bail.
Police say he was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute after his failure to post bail.
