Rehoboth Beach to open beach, boardwalk for exercise beginning Friday

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Rehoboth Beach officials say they have agreed to reopen the beach and boardwalk for exercise beginning this Friday, May 15th.

We’re told the beach and boardwalk will be open to the public from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. to exercise or access local businesses. Leashed dog walking will be allowed on the beach from May 15th through May 29th. Dogs are not allowed on the boardwalk. Bicycles will be allowed on the boardwalk from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Swimming, surfing, and loitering are not allowed at this time.

Visitors are asked to wear a face covering, maintain social distancing, and keep gatherings to 10 people or less.

Public bathrooms will open on May 15th at Rehoboth, Baltimore, and Delaware Avenues. Parking meters and permits are suspended through May 29th.
