Gold alert canceled for elderly Millsboro man

Police say that a gold alert that was issued for a missing Millsboro man has been canceled.

According to Delaware State Police, 69-year-old Stephen Wheeler of Millsboro, has been found and is in good condition.

The gold alert has been canceled.

An alert was issued for Wheeler after troopers were not able to contact Wheeler to check on his welfare, attempts to find him were unsuccessful and there was a real concern for his safety.

Police said that there was a possibility that he would be seen in the Laurel area. He was described as being 5'08" tall, 160 lbs. with white hair and hazel eyes.

People with information were encouraged to call Delaware Crime Stoppers or Delaware State Police.
