Seaford asks for public input in drafting “Conceptual Vision Plan”

Connecting the dots, hopefully leading to prosperity downtown. It’s what Seaford officials tell us they’re hoping to do through the city’s “Conceptual Vision Plan” and why they’re asking for public input.

They want residents to play a role in shaping the city’s future. Currently, several projects are underway within the city, supported by various forms of funding. We’re told this vision plan will be designed to synchronize all of the city’s moving parts and gear them towards economic growth.

“we’re taking what we have, we’re bringing in some new things, but I feel personally that when we get done it’ll be very cohesive, we’ll blend the old, the heritage that our community is so proud of, with some new elements,” said Vice Mayor, Leanne Phillips-Lowe.

The city is providing opportunities to get involved. Tuesday 5:30 the public input meeting began in council chambers. On Wednesday, they’re asking for local merchants to attend from 8:30 until 9:30, and again on Thursday night for a public presentation of the plan, beginning at 5:30.
