Lions come up short against Middletown

The greatest run ever for the Queen Anne’s boys basketball team is over. The Lions 66-53 to Middletown on Friday night at the MPSSAA 2A state semifinals.

Four players scored in double figures, as Vernon Ashley and Juwan Moore both finished with a team-high 12 points. Cassius Warren finished with 11, and reserve Charles Hynson also finished with 11. The Lions never held a lead in the game, and trailed by 17 late in the fourth. A great finish would pull the Lions within 13 before the final whistle.
