Felton man arrested on burglary charges

FELTON, Del. – Felton Police have arrested a man in connection to a burglary that happened earlier this month.

Police say they were called to the 100 block of Church Street during the afternoon hours on April 15th for a report of a burglary to a vacant residence. Officers found a broken window and numerous items in the residence that did not belong to the home owner. Finger print evidence was obtained, and surveillance cameras were set up inside the residence.

The next day, police conducted a check on the property, finding 41-year-old Andrew Jones inside. He was arrested and charged with third degree burglary, theft of services under $1500 obtained from public utility without consent, criminal mischief under $1000 damage property, and failure to obey an emergency order.

He was later released on $2,300 unsecured bond.
