Eden man charged for speeding and driving without license

An Eden man is facing charges, after Police say he was found to be driving over the speed limit, without a license.
The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says on Wednesday around 2:40 AM, a Deputy pulled over a vehicle for driving 85 miles per hour in a 55 MPH zone on Ocean Gateway. According to the report, as the Deputy was attempting to catch the vehicle, it went onto Route 50 Bypass, and got up to 97 MPH in a 65 MPH zone.
When the car finally stopped, the Deputy says they found that the driver, 18-year-old Jamarkus Brumskin, didn’t have a driver’s license, and that the vehicle had a temporary registration, that had expired on March 17. The deputy also apparently discovered that Brumskin had just been charged by another law enforcement officer for driving without a license, just five days earlier.
Brumskin was then arrested, and charged with driving without a license, driving with an expired registration, and speeding. He was then seen by the District Court Commissioner, and released on Personal Recognizance.
