Police looking for two suspects after Dover armed robbery

Police say that they are investigating an armed robbery that happened on Sunday morning in Dover.

According to the Dover Police Department, at 2:53 a.m., on Sunday morning on Walker Road, two men went into 7/11 in the Hamlet Shopping Center with a long barrel pump action shotgun and took Newport cigarettes and an unknown amount of cash.

One of the suspects demanded the items while the other suspect acted as a lookout at the door. Police say that both suspects ran away after the incident.

The first suspect was reportedly wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a bandanna and white gloves. The other suspect was allegedly wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt with a bandanna and black gloves.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Dover Police at 302-736-7130. Callers can stay anonymous.
