Police searching for two suspects after reported Milford robbery

Police say that a teen was arrested on robbery and other charges after allegedly stealing a victim's purse in Milford last Thursday.
According to the Milford Police Department, on Thursday at 9:00 p.m., officers responded to N.E. Fourth Street and East Street for an unknown problem. Officers arrived on the scene and learned that three teens reportedly stole a victim's purse and ran northbound on East Street toward North East Fifth Street.
Witnesses reportedly saw one of the teens run onto an abandoned property. Police say officers responded to that property, where they found one of the suspects hiding in the trees.
The teen was taken into custody, but he reportedly failed to identify himself or the other suspects. Police say they later learned that he was a 14-year-old teen. The victim was not injured and the victim's property was found and returned to her.
Investigators say that the suspects actions alarmed and concerned other neighbors that saw the suspects leaving the scene.
The teen was charged with second degree robbery, second degree conspiracy and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court seven and released on $3750 unsecured bail. He was then turned over to the custody of his parent.
He was ordered to appear in Kent County Family Court on a later date. Anyone with information on the other two suspects is asked to call Milford Police at 302-422-8081 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be submitted online.
