UPDATE: K-9 scan conducted at Parkside High School

Law enforcement and education officials are once again teaming up to keep Wicomico County schools drug free.
On Thursday morning, Wicomico County Public Schools announced that they are collaborating with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office to perform K-9 scans for controlled dangerous substances at Parkside High School.
Officials say the scans are done from time to time, in an effort to ensure that campuses are safe, and drug free. During the scans, the school system says students will be brought outside, and resume regular activities once wrapped up.
School officials say students cannot be signed out by parents at these schools while the scans are taking place. In the month of March, most of the other middle and high schools in the system, were also checked.
