Gold alert issued for woman last seen in Oak Orchard

Police say that they are issuing a gold alert on Friday morning for a woman who was last seen in the Oak Orchard area.

According to Delaware State Police, 25-year-old Nicole Sheppard is 5'05" tall, 150 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.

Troopers have not been able to make contact with Sheppard to check on her welfare, and attempts to find her have been unsuccessful. Police also say that there is a real concern for Sheppard's safety and welfare.

Anyone with information on where Sheppard may be is asked to call Troop 4 at 302-856-5850.  Information may also be provided by contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or via the internet.
