Teen charged with attempted second degree rape in Wicomcio County

A 16-year-old is apparently being charged as an adult, after he apparently attempted to rape a 15-year-old.
The Wicomico Bureau of Investigation says on March 14, a 16-year-old boy held a 15-year-old girl in a home on Clear Lake Drive, and continually was attempting to force the victim to become involved in sex acts.
Investigators say he tried to force the girl to have sex, while she fought him off, and kept telling the 16-year-old that his attempts were unwanted. The victim was apparently eventually able to get away from the suspect, and run from the house.
The 16-year-old has since been charged as an adult with attempted second degree rape, sexual contact without consent, assault second degree, and unlawfully and intentionally detain.
