Burke & Herbert Bank announces winners of 2026 Win Free Tuition Contest

SALISBURY, Md. – Some exciting news from Burke & Herbert Bank and Wor-Wic Community College as they announced the winners of this year’s Win Free Tuition Contest, sponsored by Burke & Herbert Bank.

WMDT’s Haley Rase joined Dr. Deborah Casey, President of Wor-Wic, and Carl Cottingham, Burke & Herbert’s Regional President, to announce this year’s winners. This marks the 20th year the contest has been conducted.

“This will be our 40th students going through, and they get a great education, and I can’t think of a better way to support our community through education and through Wor-Wic, and having the opportunity for a great investment for our future in our communities,” Cottingham told WMDT.

“I think [Wor-Wic Community College] is very committed to making sure students succeed, and they’re in high valued programs that help them move into good paying jobs, staying here on the Eastern Shore,” Dr. Casey added. “And so this opportunity for two scholarships to be awarded to our students means so much.”

This year’s winners are Ryan Shreeve of Berlin and Maddison French of Pocomoke. Both will receive free tuition for a year, a laptop, and books from Wor-Wic Community College. Congratulations!
