Discover Delmarva Arts: Molly Savini
DOVER , Del. — Molly Savini isn’t like other girls her age — instead of walking the school hallways, she’s strutting on runways in Thailand, New York, and Paris — and she does it all while balancing her many other passions.
It all started with fashion designer Mila Hoffman, who took a chance on Molly.
“I did three shows for her in February in New York, plus an editorial, and I’ve just continued following her around. . . I got to walk three shows in Thailand and did an editorial. In Paris, I walked for another designer, Gio Couture, and I was their teen ambassador model, and I walked for Mila 3 times,” Savini said.
But fashion and modeling aren’t her only passions — she sings and acts, too, with an upcoming performance at Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular with Camp Broadway.
Now — she’s preparing for another exciting milestone — competing in the Broadway World Next On-stage High School Competition with $1,000 on the line — and if she’s crowned the winner — that funding will go right to an organization near and dear to Molly’s heart, the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
“I have volunteered with them for two years. They’re a great organization and they help so many animals. I would like to be able to help them. . . They take animals from Texas, with the floods, fly them over here, they take hoarding cases, and medical issues.”
From modeling, to fashion, musical theatre, and more — Molly does it all — and she does it in style.
