Chamber Chat: Higher Education Leaders of Delmarva Forum

SALISBURY, Md. – In this week’s Chamber Chat, WMDT’s John Trout and Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC) President Bill Chambers discuss the upcoming Higher Education Leaders of Delmarva Forum, slated for Oct. 15 at 11:30 a.m.

At the SACC’s October General Membership Luncheon, presidents from colleges across Delmarva will be present to discuss challenges facing their institutions, how artificial intelligence is impacting learning, declining enrollment, and the overall future of higher education.

Presidents from University of Delaware, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Salisbury University, Wor-Wic Community College, Delaware State University, the Eastern Shore of Virginia Community College, and Chesapeake College will all gather at the Wicomico Civic Center. The conversation will be moderated by Dr. Brit Kirwan, former Chancellor of the University System of Maryland. 

Bill tells WMDT that he expects the presidents to also discuss federal budget cuts impacting funding for higher education.
