Cambridge Police Investigate Shooting Believed to be Targeted

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) is investigating a shooting that injured one on Sunday evening.

Just before 7:42 p.m. on Sept. 13, officers responded to the 400 block of Skinners Court after receiving a “Shot Spotter” alert. While officers were enroute, they were informed of a victim with a gunshot wound at the scene. Upon officers’ arrival, they located a 28-year-old male victim from Cambridge with a gun shot wound to his leg.

The victim was transported to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury for the non-life-threatening injury by Dorchester County Emergency Medical Services.

The CPD Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate this incident, and say a preliminary investigation indicates the shooting was a targeted event. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact authorities at 410-228-3333 if you have any information.
