Juvenile Charged as an Adult for Princess Anne Armed Robbery
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Princess Anne Police Department (PAPD) has arrested a juvenile in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Saturday.
On Sept. 5, officers responded to the area of Beechwood Street and William Street for a reported armed robbery. An investigation determined that a suspect allegedly displayed what appeared to be a handgun, and forcibly took a camera and related equipment from the victim.
Officers immediately began investigating the incident and were able to recover the stolen property. The suspect, identified as a juvenile,was found to be in possession of a BB-style handgun resembling a semi-automatic handgun. He was taken into custody without further incident.
PAPD says the juvenile offender has been charged as an adult due to the seriousness of the offenses. He faces multiple charges, including armed robbery, first and second degree assault, and theft.
