Blood Bank of Delmarva in critical need of O- blood

The Blood Bank of Delmarva is in critical need of type O- blood. O-negative is the universal blood type and can be used to help anyone, but only 1 in 15 people actually have this blood type.

According to the Blood Bank, the need is critical for a couple reasons. Recent natural disasters in the United States’ south have squeezed supply as the Blood Bank of Delmarva has had trouble borrowing from other centers. The center also says there is little participation from those who can help.
