Harriet Tubman Museum Shares Update Following Break-In
(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – The Harriet Tubman Museum in Cambridge is preparing to once again re-open their doors to the public.
WMDT previously reported in July that the museum was broken into and vandalized just weeks after reopening.
Since then, the museum has made some security upgrades — such as adding a solid metal door and a new security system.
Museum Director, Linda Harris thanks the community for their help in a much quicker turnaround as the museum re-opens.
Linda tells WMDT, “We’re excited. you know, it was horrible that someone broke in and took our donation box. But what came out of that was the outpouring of of community and donations and people wanting us to succeed. So we’re coming back bigger and brighter.”
The Harriet Tubman Museum will re-open on Tuesday, September 1st.
