Cambridge Nursing Center Back to School Drive Clears Out in Minutes

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – A Cambridge nursing center is helping kids get ready to go back to school.

The event, meant for Mallard Bay Nursing and Rehab, is to hand out supplies to local kids. It was originally scheduled to run from 3 in the afternoon to 8 o’clock Tuesday evening.

Administrators say they ran out of supplies in a little under 20 minutes this afternoon.

It’s apparently even faster than when they ran this event last year.

“People found out about it and they found out about us, about the good work we do. And the place just got swamped. And we’re happy we were able to help so many people, though…It means everything to Mallard Bay. This is everything we stand for, for for helping people, regardless of age. So this this really, really was special to us,” says Mallard Bay Administrator, Beau Belkin.

Mallard Bay says they’re planning for next year’s event with double the amount of supplies to give away.
