Delaware OHS Partners with NASCAR’s Ross Chastain
(HARRINGTON, Del) – The Delaware Office of Highway Safety is partnering with a prominent NASCAR Driver to encourage people to drive safely.
OHS is partnering with NASCAR’s Ross Chastain as part of their “Use Your Melon” campaign to discourage dangerous decisions behind the wheel.
WMDT caught up with Chastain at the Delaware State Fair about the dangers of impaired driving…
And partnering with the office of Higheway Safety to get the message across.
Ross tells WMDT, “There’s just plans you can make. And I want to get home from the state fair. I’m going to get home from Dover Motor Speedway whenever we race there. Again next year and the Cup Series or the triple like I ran this year and all the NASCAR series, we just want people to make decisions. If they’re going to be drinking alcohol, they’re going to be, partaking in any of that.”
In 2025, Delaware law enforcement efforts resulted in more than 4,400 arrests and citations statewide
