Del. Division of Public Health provides update on COVID-19 in the state

DOVER, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health released an update on the number of individuals currently being tested for coronavirus in the state.

In the state, a total of 72 individuals have been tested, including the four who have tested positive (these results are still pending confirmation from the CDC). A total of 36 tests resulted in negative results, and 32 people under investigation are currently awaiting test results.

DPH is monitoring a total of 54 individuals at this time.

Officials say testing is not recommended for those who do not have any symptoms of illness. If you have symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, you should contact your primary care provider, who can collect specimens and send them to the lab for testing.
