Laurel Police arrest fugitive, discover 166 grams of marijuana

Members of the Laurel Police Department say they arrested Pythuis Wright, 30, of Yonkers, New York, following a traffic stop.

Police say Wright was the passenger in a car that was stopped in Laurel on Friday. According to police, a check in the Delaware Criminal Justice Information System revealed Wright had an active warrant out for his arrest from the Kent County Family Court for a previous charge.

Police say further investigation revealed 166 grams of Marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle, to which Wright admitted ownership.

Police say Wright was arrested and committed to the Sussex County Correctional Institution in default of a $2000.00 secured bond.
