UPDATE: Hebron Convenience Center to Reopen Following Renovations

UPDATE: The Hebron Convenience Center is reopening Wednesday morning after being closed for nearly two months for renovations.

On Monday, the Wicomico County Solid Waste Division said the finishing touches were being put on the center, with the station expected to be open for use starting at 8:00 a.m. on Aug. 12. Additionally, the station will be back open to Residential Household Permit holders.

The site was closed for full renovation, with officials saying operations included full dock and bulkhead replacement, earth work, a new 24 foot by 80 foot concrete base and pad, and site beautification.

“Our team is proud to present the finished product and we look to bringing projects like this to bear, as we prioritize other locations across the County,” the division said.

The Solid Waste Division also asks Hebron center regulars to note that their waste-oil and antifreeze collection station is still being renovated at this time. Residents in need of disposal of those products are asked to visit the main Solid Waste Campus on Brick Kiln Road in Salisbury, or the next closest Convenience Center to your home.

HEBRON, Md. – The Wicomico County Solid Waste Division is temporarily closing the Hebron Convenience Center for full dock reconstruction, beginning Friday, Jun. 19.

The County recently executed a construction contract and will commence with the project next week. The effort is expected to take approximately 30 days. Additional updates will be provided to the public.

Hebron customers are encouraged to visit either surrounding convenience center in closest proximity to their residence, such as the main Newland Park facility, Mardela Springs, Delmar, Quantico or Sharptown. A list of all centers and recycling stations and their addresses can be found here.
