Multiple Departments Respond to Brush Fire in Accomack Co.

HALLWOOD, Va. – Multiple fire companies responded to a brush fire in Accomack County on Thursday night.

Crews from the Bloxom, Atlantic, and Parksley Volunteer Fire Companies responded to a fire on Neal Parker Road. The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Forestry also responded to the scene.

When crews arrived, the Department of Forestry instructed firefighters to park in the field to deploy a booster line to stop the spread of fire into the field. Units reportedly remained on scene for an hour to an hour and a half.
