FOP says their "No Confidence" vote was leaked

union. today the union — the fraternal order of police lodge 22 — released a statement — saying the information about chief wood was released to the public without their knowledge — and that they’re awaiting a response from town council about the concerns expressed about their chief. the no confidence vote apparently states that chief wood is unfit to lead — citing a failure to lead by example –inability to inspire and motivate others –lack of communication skills as well as failure to coach and develop his employees. since last tuesday — 47 abc made over 30 calls to the smyrna police department and three trips to the town council for answers on what was being ne. town officials declined to comment. yesterday – 47 abc was told that no one was willing to speak on the matter publicly. yor joanne masten expressed her surprise that we drove all the way from salisbury as she left the room leaving the town solicitor to answer. the town council met to discuss the letter that was sent to the town from the fop — lodge 22 and tonight the town council voted to unanimously forward that letter to the attorney generals office for an investigation of the matter and that’s where the matter stands. the fop states that they continue to remain optimistic in hopes that each and every one of the issues presented against chief wood to the mayor and council will soon be addressed and corrected. turning now to new castle county — where a wilmington firefighter’s condition
