Salisbury Fire Chief Rob Frampton Appointed to National Commission

SALISBURY, Md. — Salisbury Fire Department Chief Rob Frampton has been appointed to serve on the Commission on Professional Credentialing through the Center for Public Safety Excellence, Inc. The appointment was unanimously confirmed by the CPSE Board of Directors.

The Commission oversees nationally recognized programs focused on leadership and professional excellence in fire and emergency services. Chief Frampton will serve a three-year term ending April 30, 2029, representing fire chiefs and agency heads serving populations under 50,000.

For those who know Chief Frampton, the appointment comes as no surprise. Throughout his time with the Salisbury Fire Department, he has built a reputation as a steady leader, a mentor within the department and someone deeply invested in the community.

Whether responding to emergencies, supporting firefighters behind the scenes or working alongside local and regional partners, Chief Frampton has helped lead the department with a focus on service, accountability and people first. His leadership has helped strengthen training, preparedness and collaboration across the Eastern Shore while keeping community trust at the center of the work.

This appointment also gives Salisbury and the Eastern Shore representation in conversations shaping the future of fire and emergency services nationwide.
