MILLVILLE, Del. – The Millville Volunteer Fire Company (MVFC) responded to a destructive house fire on Thursday night.

At 10:50 p.m. on Apr. 30, crews were dispatched to a residential structure fire on Judith Lane. Units also responded from several surrounding companies including Bethany Beach, Dagsboro, Frankford, Selbyville, and Roxana volunteer fire companies.  It took approximately 90 minutes to bring the blaze under control.

MVFC officials say that because the residence was in a non-hydrated area, water was supplied by tankers from the Millville, Selbyville, Roxana, and Dagsboro fire companies.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office.
