SALISBURY, Md. – The 19th Annual Plow Days is taking Salisbury residents back to a much simpler time on Saturday, Apr. 11.

The annual event, located just off Mt. Hermon Road, gives folks a look at how farming used to be done on Delmarva, with horses and mules doing the work in the fields. Attendees will see plow teams in action, antique farm equipment, and even a horse-powered treadmill used for shelling corn. Old time farm displays give you a real sense of the past — attendees have the chance to even try plowing the old-fashioned way themselves.

Families can enjoy an array of food vendors, and take a moment to say hi to farm animals on site. Event organizers ask that families leave their pets at home, since horses can be easily spooked.

Admission and parking are free at Plow Days, as the stir-up of fun is made possible through donations. This is a rain-or-shine event.
