Burton transferred to JTVCC

The Delaware Victim Information and Notification Everyday service has reported that Matthew Burton, the man convicted of murdering Nicole Bennett, has been transferred to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center.
Burton, who pleaded guilty in April to second degree murder and second degree rape charges in connection to the 2012 murder of Nicole Bennett, was previously being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution. His was transferred Tuesday, the VINE service message said.
After Burton's plea hearing in April, Nicole Bennett's oldest daughter read a statement asking for Burton to serve his sentence at a different facility than Sussex Correctional Institution, the reasoning being that she and her sister must drive past SCI twice everyday on their way to and from school, a painful reminder of the man who murdered their mother.
