Mobile home fire extinguished in Dover

DOVER, Del. — Firefighters in Dover responded to a structure fire Wednesday night at the Riverside Mobile Home Park, officials said.

Crews were dispatched at approximately 9:35 p.m. and arrived to find a 14-by-60-foot single-wide mobile home with visible fire. Firefighters entered the residence and encountered fire throughout the structure.

The blaze was quickly brought under control as crews conducted both primary and secondary searches of the home. No occupants were found inside.

Firefighters remained on scene for about two hours before turning the incident over to the City of Dover Fire Marshal’s Office for investigation.

Units responding included Dover 15, Engine 1, Ladder 1, Squad 1, Squad 2, Truck Company 41, Engine Company 54, along with City of Dover and Kent County EMS personnel.
