Mardela softball starts season strong with win over Colonel Richardson

MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. – Colonel Richardson traveled to Mardela Springs to take on the Warriors, coming off their 1A state championship season.

It started in the 1st inning, when Evie Bailey saw something she liked and decided to swipe third base. Then, Audrey Senft ripped it to left to bring home Bailey.

Pitching phenom Ava Twilley provided lights out performance with 17 strikeouts on the day.

This game was all Mardela from the beginning, as they took down Colonel Richardson by a final score of 8 to 1.
