Death investigation underway in Selbyville

SELBYVILLE, Del. – Delaware State Police are conducting a death investigation after skeletal remains were found in a wooded area in Selbyville Monday evening.

Trooper say they responded to Polly Branch Road just north of Roxana Road shortly after 6 p.m. after someone reported human remains found in a wooded area. It was confirmed that they were human skeletal remains.

We’re told the remains have been turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science, where an autopsy will be performed to identify the person, as well as determine the cause and manner of death.
