Highlights from today's games.

field hockey here in maryland.. and we got a couple big matched going on. getting the action started will be queen anne’s who is at home this afternoon squaring off against pocomoke in the regional championship game these two faced off once before this year with the lions rolling to a win in that one, 4-1 but that was the very first game of the year.. and these teams are a lot different than they were back then and that isnt the only regional title match going on tonight kent island will look to punch their ticket to the final 4 as well, as they are at home squaring off against la plata bucs have been on some kind of run this year.. going undefeated to this point on their way to earning the bayside title road definitely starts to get tough from here though as the warriors come into this one with a 9-5-1 record playoffs areat, underway for a couple of our college teams as well the s-u field hockey team gets their c-a-c tournament underway tonight as they are set to squar off against york the sea gulls and spartans faced each other once during the regular season, with s-u taking that one 6-2 now we are going to be at each of these games tonight, and we’ll have full highlights and a recap for you later on tonight and some exciting news coming out of dover today, as the factory that is the senators baseball program has done it again, sending another player to the division 1 level avery tunnell has committed to play his college ball right here on the shore at u-m-e-s- the gap -to – gap hitter played a big role in dover’s success the past few seasons, helping them to a 16-2 record, making it all the way to the state semifinals and the invites for this years crab bowl are starting to come in for a few of our standout players here in the bayside so far, the list includes cambridge south-dorchesters running back tre lake, queen anne’s linebacker tyler bonner, parkside’s dajour church and felix paradis, as well as kent county’s marcquan greene. more to come to, as the game isn’t scheduled for about another month that’s it for sports – more news and weather straight ahead. stay with us. catch more of the action on our sports page at
