This match was everything it was supposed to be, both Kent Island and North Caroline came out firing. In the first set, it was neck and neck early and then Hannah Moran and the Buccaneers went on a run and took the lead and ran with it to win the first set. In the second set, Julia Edris led the Bulldogs to a run of their own and started out the set with a 5-0 lead.
North Caroline came here for business, so they called a timeout, came back and Macey Strunk seemed like she was everywhere on the court. Strunk was spiking everything that came near her and led the Bucs to win the second set.
For the third set, you could feel the intensity in the gym, the atmosphere was everything that a playoff game should be. The third set was back and forth as Serena O’Connell and Sydney Dawkins were both having a great set. Although, the Bulldogs were playing well, they just couldn’t handle the Buccaneers as the Bucs went on to win the match 3-0.
The Bucs move on now to take on Queen Anne’s, who defeated Parkside 3-0.
