TidalHealth Hosts Walk With a Doc

SALISBURY, Md. — Community members are invited to join TidalHealth and the nonprofit Walk With a Doc this Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. for an educational stroll at the Salisbury Riverwalk.

The walk will be led by a TidalHealth physician, who will chat with participants about a health topic. This month’s topic is breast cancer awareness. It’s all part of TidalHealth’s REACH (Rural Equity and Access to Community Health) initiative.

“We start with a 5- to 10-minute health topic conversation led by a local healthcare provider. Then we walk around the Salisbury Riverwalk and through downtown at your own pace and distance, so all are welcome. It’s a really good way to meet other community members who are interested in walking and to ask your healthcare providers questions in a relaxed setting,” TidalHealth Community Health Educator Bobbi McDonald said.
