LEWES, De- Shell We Bounce in Lewes is a perfect spot for people of all ages to let loose and literally bounce around! Floor Safety Supervisor Blair Davis says whether it’s for your kids or yourself, there’s plenty of fun to jump into! “Anybody can come in. Any age, it doesn’t matter. As long as they have their waiver set, their parents sign the waiver they can come in. It’s built for anybody to come in and have a good time.”

So I took that as my invitation to check out some of the offerings with Blair and Kolby! We started with our dunk contest, which I’m pretty sure I finished dead last. Now, dodgeball was a different story! I quickly found the fountain of youth and was finding my rhythm, timing the jumps and timing the attack just right. They’re always looking for ways to innovate, and some changes have led to a new challenge at the park. Davis says, “It used to be a foam pit over here. But now we actually have a jousting. Where kids can joust each other. And we also have monkey bars as well.” It looks easier than it actually is- I promise, Davis definitely got the best of me during our best-of-3 jousting battle.

I tried my hand at the monkey bars instead, and I found more success! As much of a strength challenge as it is, it’s just as much a mental challenge. Luckily, when your arms give out, the air bag breaks your fall. They also have plenty of arcade games for when you get worn out. Davis tells us, “I’d probably say VR is one of the most popular games kids enjoy. We have or hot wheels over there as well.” Davis may have got the best of me throughout the trampoline park, but the arcade games? Forget about it! From racing to Virtual Reality, it twists your mind and really transports you to their virtual space.

Co-Owner of Shell We Bounce, Jim Derrick, tells us the idea for all this came from their desire to find something to do with their kids years ago. “It’s really great to have a spot indoors. When it gets cold, it’s a pretty awesome place for kids to jump around. ”

It’s pretty awesome to jump around- but it’s also awesome to get over your fears of heights, right, Derrick? “I think we did it. I love to jump off the airbag right there”
