McDonald’s Grinch meal is causing a frenzy!

SALISBURY, Md. — McDonald’s has released its limited-time Grinch meal, and it’s causing a frenzy near Route 50 and Fruitland. Customers explained what this hot commodity is all about.

McDonald’s regular Trevor Miller said, “Yeah, I come here a little bit,” adding, “I have no idea why it’s this busy right now.”

Cars lined the McDonald’s parking lot, waiting to get their hands on a meal with a Grinch-y twist: a Big Mac or 10-piece McNuggets, a medium drink, and dill pickle Grinch salt for the fries.

Another customer, Captain Ben Taylor, said, “It was very interesting, a little salty. But it was really cute. I had a little bag to mix them in, and there were Grinch hands giving the directions. It was just really adorable. My wife and I love the Grinch, so it was fun.”

What started out as a post-doctor’s appointment treat for his daughter became a real delight.

“She got a shot today, so we’re giving her a little treat for the shot,” Taylor said. “When we went in, I didn’t even know they had it. But we went in, and I love Big Macs. So I thought, I’m going to get a Big Mac meal.”

Miller said he was surprised when he showed up to his local McDonald’s but didn’t partake in the salty snack.

“I think that’s probably why I see a long line inside, too,” he said.

Despite not trying it himself, Miller thought the meal might be worth it. “Yeah, I feel it’s a good deal. And it comes with socks and stuff like that, too.”

The frenzy wrapped around the McDonald’s on Route 50 on the west end of town, while the south side location ran out of the complimentary socks altogether. For some, it was about the fries, and for others, it was about the footwear.

Miller said, “The socks—you get free socks at McDonald’s? I didn’t know they sold clothes.”

While Captain Ben Taylor said the craze was probably about the fries. “Definitely the fries.”

By noon Thursday, the south side location had sold out of the meals.
