Dorchester Health Dept. Looking for Young Volunteers

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – The Dorchester County Health Department is looking for young volunteers for a committee they’re launching early next year.

The Health Department is looking for teens throughout the community, to be a part of their Climate Ready Youth Committee.

The group will meet throughout early 2026, to talk about how changing climate could potentially impact the health of those in Dorchester County.

“I believe that the youth is the future of Cambridge. So educating them on the changes can help them navigate how to be prepared for a certain disaster. Being the Dorchester County is surrounded by bodies of water,” says Dorchester Health Department Climate Health Coordinator, Teresa Perry.

If you’re interested in signing up, you can call the Health Department on their flyer.
