Veterans can get food at Berlin Legion Post #231 to celebrate Veterans Day

BERLIN, Md. – The American Legion Post #231 in Berlin is celebrating Veterans Day by giving food on November 9th.

The event will start at 2:30 p.m. and offers a chicken and dumpling dinner for those who served in the armed forces.

Berlin resident Janice Leonard will be working the event. She says it’s a special day for the town.

“Well, at the end of the day, this is Berlin, our hometown, and it’s time for us to come together as one. And I would like to thank Mayor Zach and his family because he does an amazing job for the town and Worcester County.”

The event is open to all veterans.

The Legion Post #231 is actively seeking membership. Every Friday and Saturday, the post is open to any veteran who wants to connect with peers who have served their country.
