The Ocean City RV Show returns to the Convention Center

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Labeled The ultimate coastal adventure. The Ocean City RV and Van Lifestyle Show is hitting the popular resort town this weekend at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center.

Senator Mary Beth Carozza was at the forefront of the new law that helped make the event even better. “We needed legislation to pass at the state level to allow the out-of-state RV dealer.”

Community members were able to see all the different displays, rides, and vendors at the RV Show in Ocean City.

Organizer Rich Hutchins expects a huge crowd. “This year, we expect over 10,000 new people to come through our doors this year. Last year, we had 9,000, and with the law changes, and being optimistic.”

Legislation from Senator Carozza and Delegate Wayne Hartman, plus the organizers Rich Hutchins and Jennifer Evans, came and visited Annapolis to get it off the feet.

Bruce Waldenman runs a family-owned business out of Pennsylvania – RV Value Mart. “It kind of brings those states together. So it’s good that they have made that change. So many other states allow out-of-state dealers to be there, and it’s good that Maryland is doing that too.” Rv Show2

Senator Carozza says it’s good for both consumers and tourism. Allowing out-of-state dealers to display in Maryland will increase interest and attendance.

“We’re going to see those numbers increase, and it’s time of year for it to increase in the shoulder season, where we welcome visitors and events. I’m excited about this.”

Organizer, Jennifer Evans, says the new law has changed the game.

“A lot of help with Senator Carozza, and Delegate Wayne Hartman, so that just elevated the game for RVs. And this is the first-time visitors are getting to see what other brands are available.”
