Driver Killed Following Two-Vehicle Crash with Mack Truck on Delaware-Maryland Line

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. –  Maryland State Police continue to investigate a fatal crash in Wicomico County.

Around 7:18 a.m. Wednesday morning, troopers responded to East Line Road and Gumboro Road for a reported two-vehicle crash.

The driver of a Hyundai Tucson was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation revealed the Hyundai was traveling eastbound on East Line Road approaching Gumboro Road, when for unknown reasons, proceeded through the intersection, failing to stop at the flashing red light and was hit by a Mack truck.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash investigation remains active and ongoing.
